How a Speech Pathologist Can Help
Our Speech Pathologists conduct detailed assessments and design individualised therapy plans based on each participant’s needs and goals. Therapy may focus on developing verbal communication, using augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) devices, or improving eating and swallowing safety.
Speech Pathology support includes, but is not limited to:
- Speech clarity, articulation, and pronunciation therapy;
- Support for language development and sentence construction;
- Fluency support, including stuttering interventions;
- Swallowing and feeding assessments and strategies;
- Implementation of AAC systems (e.g. communication boards, speech devices);
